Weekly Notes 11/7/2019 - Upland Hills School

The 3rd Annual UHS Pallet Party Fundraiser – Saturday November 23rd, 2019 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

This year our hosts, Betsy and Dominic Lanzotti will guide you through the building process to make fall pumpkins and winter trees. Take these handcrafted decorations home for the holidays or give them as gifts. All proceeds benefit Upland Hills School. Join us for a crafty and fun evening at school!

Cost is $125: includes all the supplies to make two decorations, plus adult refreshments & snacks.

Parent Teacher Conference – Monday & Tuesday, November 25 & 26

Conferences are held three times a year. During these times, the staff meets with parents to discuss the evolving growth of the student and to co-create a vision for the next trimester. The perspective of acknowledging and utilizing a child’s strengths, talents, and intelligences is primary to the discussion. We schedule an hour for each conference to allow for the depth of conversation and mutual understanding that is essential to our partnership with families.

Holiday Book Fair – Monday & Tuesday, November 25 & 26 During Conferences

Books make great gifts! UHS Librarians, Karen and Betsy have curated a wonderful selection of new children’s books that will be for sale in the big room during conferences. Proceeds from the book fair go toward the purchase of new books for the library. Before conferences begin, students will browse the book fair and create their own wish list. At conferences, wish lists are available to help you choose the perfect gift.

Auction “SAVE THE DATE”

Join us Saturday, March 21, 2020 for the most important fundraising night of the year. Look for more information to come soon for ticket purchases and how you can participate.

Thanksgiving Celebration & JBP Play – Friday, November 22nd at 2:00PM

The Jelly Bean Players class is ready to celebrate Thanksgiving with a short skit. Thanksgiving at Our House will be performed in the Karen Joy Theatre, Friday, November 22nd at 2:00PM. After the play, parents are invited to join their children in their morning meeting classroom. There will be pie! Everyone is invited!

UHS Portraits are Complete

Student portraits are complete and online for you to view and order. Please place all orders by the order deadline, November 8th. If you have any questions, please contact the photographer, Chris Belli (Dad of Leo, Alexa, and Vara) at chris@midtowneventphotography.com. Retake day is Friday, November 8th. *If you require a retake, please email Chris and let him know so he can put you on the list.

TPS Fall Play Afterglow Sign-Up

Plans are underway for the TPS Fall Play Afterglow, and we could use your help to make it a success. The Afterglow is a celebration for the theater students and audience that will take place after the play on November 16th. School lunch credits

Anyone who recently ordered hot lunch for a day your child was out sick please send an email to uplandhillskitchen@gmail.com and we will send you a credit coupon.

Lost and Found

We have an impressive collection of boots, hats, lunchboxes, etc. currently in the lost and found. If your child is missing anything, please take a moment to browse the lost and found located in the cabinet and on the hooks on the front porch of the school.
