HAMILTON
Thank you so much to everyone who attended or supported our Hamilton fundraiser the other night. What an incredible night it was! Alumni student Patrick Rooney made a surprise appearance (via youtube) at the pre-glow reception to honor Karen Moore. Patrick’s acting career started on the Upland Hills stage under Karen’s direction. He is now with the national touring group of Les Miserables. In this clip Patrick shares a song he sang in an UHS play “Three Song Women” written by Ted Strunck and closed with a song composed by his school friend Will Rowe (age 6 at the time). Will is now a professional cellist and composer. Enjoy. We sure did! Tribute to Karen
Alumni Students from the first years of Upland Hills School, Bonnie Nevel and Bobby Robbins (picture below) traveled from Washington D.C. and Florida to join in the celebration of their beloved teacher, Karen.
We will post another video from the event on our facebook page. If you have any photos or videos from the night to share please post them there.
Also a big HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY to Ted!!!!

Avalon Village Benefit Concert
Ted is building another bridge. It’s a relationship between our community and Avalon Village in Highland Park. You can explore Avalon Village online by searching it on Facebook. Last year, Dom’s group visited and met Mama Shu and saw some of the projects underway. Ted’s been working there for the last 2 years helping to build a Homework House and a new front porch for Mama Shu. Part of this ‘bridge’ construction involves a benefit concert here at our theater on April 20th. Proceeds from the concert will go toward the construction of a gazebo at Avalon Village. This structure will serve that community as a focal point for gatherings and be a source of income. Mama Shu performs weddings and having a gazebo would enhance and increase that revenue avenue. The concert will feature The After School Band and other local talent TBA. So please keep this in mind, mark your calendars and become a part of our community’s outreach.
Musical CD’s of our theater productions
Ted has uploaded the musical album from A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Spotify so anyone can hear this wonderful music. Search Upland Hills School in Spotify and you will see the music.
